Zeba Shakir, MD

Dr. Zeba Shakir is a pediatric specialist with over 20 years of experience. She currently works at Homewood Pediatric Associates in Flossmoor, Illinois where she cares for children and adolescents between the ages 0 and 19.

Dr. Shakir began her training in the medical field at Dow Medical College, one of the top medical schools in Karachi, Pakistan. She graduated from Dow Medical College with high honors in 1991. In 1996, Dr. Zeba Shakir completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Here she went through rigorous training learning how to treat complex patients in pediatric ICU and neonatal ICU.

After the completion of her training, Dr. Zeba Shakir began volunteering in the south suburbs of Chicago. Dr. Shakir practiced pediatric medicine at the Family Health Society, providing care to the needy and underinsured population. She was later recognized by the Family Health Society with an award honoring her generosity and kind service.
