The Board Certified and nationally known addiction medicine specialist, Dr. Scott Teitelbaum currently works with the University of Florida. Here, he stands as the Vice Chair of the Department of Psychiatry as well as the Division Chief of Addiction Medicine. He is also a professor at the university working in both the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Pediatrics. Over the years at University of Florida, he has given many special lectures on topics including pediatrics, physician impairment, addiction medicine, and human behavior.
Dr. Scott Teitelbaum is widely known for his honorable work in evaluating and treating healthcare professionals as well as a variety of other professionals suffering from the disease of addiction. During his career, he has worked with a number of distinguished professionals and professional organizations in this manner including:

Before beginning his successful career in addiction medicine, Dr. Scott Teitelbaum earned many notable achievements in his education. He attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Next, he attended Rochester University in New York, earning his Doctor of Medicine. From there, Dr. Teitelbaum went on to the University of Connecticut to complete both an internship as well as a residency in Pediatrics. After completing his residency, Dr. Scott Teitelbaum completed Postdoctoral Fellowships in Addiction Medicine and a Fellowship in Child Psychiatry at the University of Florida where he remains working, learning, and serving the community today.
